A message from Waste Management: Recycling, green waste and heavy trash (not storm debris) service will resume on Monday, Sept. 11. Waste Management will not pick up bulk items if they are or were wet from the storm. They will pick up bulk items (i.e. mattresses, sofas, etc. only if they are uncontaminated). If items are deemed contaminated by Harvey, those items will be left at the curb for pick up by the City’s storm debris collection contractor. Green waste will not be picked up unless it is normal green waste such as leaves, grass clippings, and branches that are cut, tied and bundled as normal.
